I am incredibly disappointed by this game. I was so excited for it to come out! And then when it does.......it is a total waste.
Unlike other games, you aren't -really- involved in solving things! The majority of time is spent running errands for people so that they will give you information or items. And the tasks themselves are completely boring!
Also, it was over super quickly! Where as I could spend an entire day or two on the other games, I was done with this game in one evening. I hardly consider that worth the money.
The characters involved are uninteresting. I could barely find the energy to care about any of the people involved in the game! None of them are engaging or personable. I didn't even -want- to help any of them.
The plot line is mediocre at best. I had the entire thing figured out (including the "surprise" character twist, the eventual culprit and the end goal) by midway through the game.
All in all, I am really disappointed by this game. I want my money and my 5 hours back.

I'm really sorry you felt this way! This game is in my top five, for sure.
Maybe follow nancy drew fan3's advice and play it again? Did you use a lot of spoilers? That can deduct the length of the game by far.:jumpsmile

I totally agree with you. This game was way to short. I got to the end and Im like "Wait, thats it?" A total waste of money. And I also want my 5 hours back!:icky:

I personally loved running errands and interacting more with the characters. Even though the homework assignments, made me mad, I still enjoyed it.
I also loved how they made it more modern. Now that Nancy is getting texts, she can keep up with what's going on around her instead of having to go to each character individually and waste time saying hi and bye.
The one other thing I didn't like was that you couldn't talk to Bess and George! I always look forward to talking to them because it makes me comfortable and safe.
I thought the plot was excellent but they could've done a bit better with the ending, which was too easy.

Me and my sister were so excited for this game when we heard it was coming out. It seemed like a great game in the start, but, it just didn't turn out the way we thought it would.
This game was totally different than that of the previous games. There weren't many puzzles. Mainly just errands. You didn't get to read that much at all unlike how it was in the other games. There weren't many places to explore which disappointed us especially when it came to how beautiful the setting outside was. I especially wished we could have explored the second floor of the library. You didn't get to read much on the website which totally made me mad because it would have definitely made you feel more at school. I wish we could have talked to the characters more and actually saw the principal. I am also disappointed because there were still questions that were left unanswered at the end and I'd like to have known what the answers were.
The characters portrayed the different stereotypes of high school kids nicely. You had the jock, weirdo, prep, outcast, and goth. They did have different personalities and I enjoyed how fun the gossip was. I wish we could have talked to the characters more. I enjoyed the setting because it was different from the other games but interesting at the same time. I especially enjoyed the outside setting, I only wish that we could have gotten to explore it more.
So, over all, this was an okay game, but, it's not one of my favorites. It was fun to play, but, it just disappointed me.

once you think about it though, you entered "girl world". Not just that, but high school "girl world". I actually liked it. Sure its something different, but considering the last one was nothing but puzzles, I prefer this one. It wasn't that bad. It reminded me of Secret of the Scarlet Hand. You had digging to do verbally and through errands, but you learned so much. Learning is key!

I appreciate your honesty. Was there anything positive about the game, in your opinion?

"Was there anything positive about the game, in your opinion?"
Of course! I mean, all things considered, I'd rather play Nancy Drew games more than most other games that are out there. However, because of that I tend to have higher expecations. And I felt pretty let down on this one.
