Smile ``♪ . , ¸¸ , · ´´¯`♥ As compared to the Adventure Series, LCC's Review :.

This is not your typical 20 hour ND game.

It's cute, fast-paced, and puzzle centered. =) Not really worth the $20... I would pay around $15, so if you're tight on money, better save it for the adventure series.

At first, I was skeptical to play this game. It seemed like HeR was trying to create an ND knock off game, sorta like a fake Coach purse... But I gave it a try anyway for Nancy.

Plot: It's very easy to follow. There isn't much to be confused about. Very straight to the point.

Characters: Pretty cool. They were involved in the game, but not like where you have to talk to them to about everything. They appeared as the game went on and contributed to the storyline.

Puzzles: They were short and simple. Nothing difficult that you would have tearing at your hair. Some puzzles (1 or 2) could have been explained clearer, but you generally got the hang of it with practice.

Ages 10 & up: Significantly easier, so I would definitely recommend this game for the younger player. The adventure series has a much more intricate plot line which might be tougher to follow for a younger gamer. For us older gamers, who want a real challenge at solving a mystery go with ND Adventure (or try the latest Sherlock Holmes/Agatha Christie game).

One last thing: For this series it would be fun if we could somehow post our game scores online for a friendly competition. This could benefit Partner Plays.

Other than those three elements there wasn't anything significant about other elements of game play. Wasn't scary, exciting, or long.

As a result, this is a short, simple, and sweet game. Perfect for those who are bored. But I wouldn't pay $20 for it, so unless HeR lowers the price, I am not planning on buying the next one.

Comments & Questions welcome. =)

When I first played it I was a bit skeptical too, not really being a fan of the 'point-and-click'
mysteries.

After playing however, I really enjoyed it, although 20$ is a bit spendy for one of these, IMO.

I'll probably wait until my birthday to get the next one.

Great review.

Yeah, if I get the next one, I'll probably get it during my next break from college.

I understand HeR needs to make a profit, but I really don't think it was worth the $20, especially at the current state of the economy.

Thanks for the comments, Girl Sleuth!

Thanks Suzelle. :)

This is a great review!

It makes a lot of sense, it's clear and straight to the point.

I'm thinking of buying it, and I'll probably will after reading your review.

I think this will be a great game to do in your spare time. aha.

Thanks!!

It's basically point and click. You combine objects that go with each other and open things to find new stuff to look at and combine.

Kinda "confined"... but if you like arcade style minigames you're good to go.

Thanks, everyone!

I followed the links in your signature and they led me to this review. I've played most of the Adventure Series, but am a bit doubtful about spending a 20 on this new game.

Can you tell me some more info on anything that you may recall that's important or interesting? Thank you.

Thanks for the well-written opinion. I am thinking that yes, $20 is too much but if I can get if for about half price it will be worth it.

Great news! At walmart you can get LCC for like $14.98! I was so excited when I saw that...I didn't want to spend $20 on it either, and I'm glad I didn't. I enjoyed it, but I don't think that the Adventure and Dossier should be priced the same. The 14.something was MUCH more agreeable IMO.

I don't really know what the Dossier series is. Your review kinda explained it to me.

Thanks for your review`~ :)
I tried the demo and I liked the concept of something new,
even in this game I found some difficult in finding objects sometimes..
Well, but of course the original adventure series are the best
