Wall in the ruins

I have watched the film but every time I stack the boxes I can't get the cursor to grab. I know I'm stacking correctly because I looked at the picture in the strategy guide. I can't watch the film again...I broke the machine. Anyone know any tricks I'm missing? I don't think it is a glitch because I have played this game before with no problems.

What I always do is

stack the wood plank on the right side and then stack all of the boxes in the middle/ slightly to the right under the shape and then a triangle piece at the top and then it allows me to reach it.

I think I see the problem. I was going

straight up the center

. I'll try that tonight!

Ok, that didn't work. And when I look at the strategy guide it is

on the center post.

You have to be able to reach like right under the spot in order to click it. Sometimes you have to give it a moment before the magnifying glass lights up.
I don't have the strategy guide personally so I don't know what it looks like there, but I've also seen it done

Beam in the middle, take the two rectangle boxes and turn them to stand upright, then stack all the small square boxes until you reach the top

Finally got it!
