    • I liked this game very much, it had good graphics and interesting characters. The only downfall would be it was somewhat short, I finished it in one sitting, and it didn't have many mini games. Over all, I liked the setting and the storyline.

      • Really great

I thought the gameplay was great. There weren't many mini games and puzzles, but the ones that were there were neat. The dolls were creepy! O_O But the characters were really neat, and of course it was awesome to have the Hardy Boys on the case, too!

I think one big difference in this game was that you were stuck on a train for such a large part of the game rather than changing locations like you can in most of the other games. In that, it was a little similar to Crystal Skull-- you mostly play in one location and only occasionally wander beyond those parameters. With Train, you really are in a tighter location (unlike Skull, where at at least that one location expands further that just a few rooms). Even though the map is smaller than normal, the detailing and characterizations are so great that I didn't really miss kayaking/taking the train/walking/everything else Nancy does to visit other locations in the other games. I really looked forward to this one when it was coming out and was so excited that it didn't disappoint! I want to replay it right now just talking about it. =)
I made sure to Stay Tuned for Danger.
I read the Message in a Haunted Mansion.
I searched for the Treasure in the Royal Tower.
I acted in The Final Scene.
I uncovered The Secret of the Scarlet Hand.
I 'busted' the Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake.
        I rode The Haunted Carousel.
I found the Danger on Deception Island.
I learned the Secret of the Old Clock.
I rode the Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon.
I befriended The White Wolf of Icicle Creek.
I uncovered the Legend of the Crystal Skull.

I fell behind because of Life but am quickly catching up (my poor husband... I just bought a huge batch of games)!

        • Great!

I loved the historical factor, the puzzles, the characters, taffy and burgers, snooping, the plot was overall intriguing, and the length was perfect. Learning about gemstones was cool too. 10/10

          • In my humble opinion, this is one of Her Interactive's best releases. In my top 3 for sure (I've played the majority of them). Great plot, great characters, great ambience, great puzzles. Actually, I think the puzzles were easier on the whole than many Nancy Drew games, but they were enjoyable so that wasn't an issue.

Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon is definitely a top 10 game for me but it doesn't quite make my top 5, probably because the characters were underutilized. That said, I appreciated the abundance of characters and especially enjoyed Camille's backstory. I sensed that she was lonely and I really felt for her.

I enjoyed most of the puzzles but did have to look up some spoilers toward the end. The "logic" box that had to be opened up to obtain the duct tape was INFURIATJNG. I tried so hard to figure that one out but failed miserably. :(

I was unsure of this game before buying it. I read both very positive and very negative reviews, so I decided to try it for myself. I know see why the mixture of feelings. First off, the characters were okay. But, the culprit was the most obvious out of all the games I have played. I figured out who did it within the first 10 minutes. The plot, was so awesome and was such an interesting idea! I was so impressed with it! Until I got to the end and realized that it didn't answer all the important questions. Also, Charleena wasn't a big help. in fact, it would have been better to me to put a different character in it.
