Tunnels with no map

When you enter the tunnel, you should be able to turn around and move forward. It may be difficult to find the spot where you can move forward, but just trying moving your mouse all the way around the screen.

Yeah, it seems weird to me too. Like I'm just stuck here...

That's strange. The way I remember it, I took one step into the dark and the phone popped up.

I'm playing amateur but nothing pops up. It's just black screen. Cursor indicates I can turn right, left or 180 degrees but no matter what direction I face, I can't move forward. I can still look at things in my inventory, My phone works but Mei's phone doesn't appear.

If you are playing Amateur, Mei's phone will pop up in front of you with a compass and directions. If you are playing Master you don't have that.

I just dropped down into the tunnels. Nancy says that she has a map but I can't find one. The Guide says

that there's a map on Mei's phone

but I don't see that either. Nothing in my inventory. What am I missing? Thanks!
