Stuck After Getting Copy of Book

I know I need to do the EVP recordings but I cannot get the recorder from Rentaro. I read Savanna's book and I've spoken to her. I won the comic book and read it. There is no one to speak to and I've changed the day several times trying to trigger something.

My To Do List:

Search for records of rooms rarely rented out.
Find a way to open the sealed envelope.
Search Takae's tea ceremony supplies.

Please help.

That is strange. If you have read the book and the comic, and returned at least one Suduko to Rentaro, you are supposed to be able to ask him. And there is nothing on your task list that you can do until after that...Sorry, I can't think of anything else that will help.

I figured it out! I called Bess and George and spoke with them and this opened up some new dialogue with Savannah. Now I have the recorder.
