♥Phantom of Venice♥
Hello! Thank you for clicking on my review! Please feel free to post your thoughts and maybe tell me a few things that I might have missed.
Plot:
This is one of the best plots Her Interactive has had! The Italian police need your help trying to find a phantom that has been stealing art pieces. Going undercover and putting on wigs and such was really fun. A plot that has never been used before! Her Interactive did a really good job!
Plot rating: 10/10

Okay for some reason these characters just didn’t seem to fit. I will explain each one:
Okay for some reason these characters just didn’t seem to fit. I will explain each one:
Colin Baxter: He was always trying to get you (Nancy) to be his girlfriend. He was boring and not at all like I had imagined him when I had seen the trailers. He just sort of seemed, like he didn’t fit. I always dreaded talking to him.
Margherita Fauberg: For some reason she was the only character I liked! She was rude and mean but for some reason she fit.
Enrico Tazza: Enrico was fun to talk to… and he wouldn’t talk to you unless you played a game of SCOPA. I liked the game SCOPA so I liked talking to Enrico. He is one of my favorite characters. (Just to let you know… if you think you’ve mastered SCOPA think again… playing it in the game is nothing like the mini game)
Helena Burg: She was ok… for some reason she annoyed me. But that’s ok I didn’t talk to her much. I only talked to her if I had to.

Setting:
Venice is just so beautiful! It is so real when you play it... its just WOW! Now that I went there in a Nancy Drew game I definitely want to really go there! They did really good with making it real!

Snooping:
In The Phantom of Venice you don’t really snoop a lot. You only snoop in Fango’s office and his office is kind of boring. You can go through other peoples stuff too but the only major snooping was in Fango’s office.

Graphics:
Her Interactive has done a great job with the graphics! I mean you can see the characters breath! Congrats to Her for doing very well with all the graphics.

Phone Friends:
In The Phantom of Venice you cannot call Bess and George. Instead you can call Ned Nickerson and Joe Hardy for hints. One other person you can call is Prudence Rutherford. She doesn’t give hints she only talks… I always put off calling her because of her voice! (If you played Danger by Design you will know what I mean!)

Second Chances:
Hahaha! I loved getting a second chance! Yes! Because whenever you did get a second chance there were these funny things that they say (probably to make you not feel bad). Like: “The Good News” and “The Bad News”. Some of them were really funny.
Second Chance rating: 7/10

Beginning:
When you start off and hit “New Game” it starts off at the end of the game then Nancy starts to think “It was great waking up in Venice” and goes to Nancy waking up. I thought that was a great idea! It really got me kind of scared and ready to play the game.

Ending:
The ending was exiting! Really kind of different but it was one of those where you watch it and Nancy kind of tells you what happened. Not my favorite but it was really good.

Other Things:
Ok this game was way too easy. When I play a Nancy Drew Game I always write down the things that I had needed help on. For this game my “hints” were less then half a page! I was hoping this game would be hard and it would take me a while to do. But it only took me a day! I started at around 10am and ended at 8pm! (I stopped to each lunch and dinner so that probably takes off an hour or two.)
This game was fun though. It was exiting learning some Italian words and eating gelato! Yum!

Thank you for reading my review! I would recommend playing it on senior for the players who have played a lot of other Nancy Drew games, and playing it on junior for those of you who are new to Nancy Drew games.
