This game seems to have a lot of bad reviews, should i play this next, or do something else?

Why was it so bad, if it was?

I'm not sure what games you haven't played yet, although I would probably suggest you play another game first, before this one. Personally, this is one of my least favorite ND games. Because:

    1) WAY too many chores. All except one of the puzzles you do are given to you as chores. This was my biggest problem with the game.

    2) Almost no snooping OR sleuthing. Because everything is given to you, there's no real reason to sleuth around and piece things together.
    3) Limited character interaction. They seemed nice, or interesting, I just never got to know them.
    4) Annoying ending.
    5) Lame plot. Broken/sabotaged storm equipment? Not the greatest, or suspenseful or anything.

Anyway, I know I've ragged on this game a lot, although if your an avid ND fun I'd suggest that you buy it anyway, just to see for yourself what you think. If you have other games you haven't played yet, though, I'd probably get those first [depending on the game]. Hope I helped.

Well I've actually seen mixed reviews on this one. Personally I didn't like it at all... Because I think the plot had potential but I hardly saw the plot all I saw was the chores. On the other hand I've seen reviews of people who just love it! SO If I were you I would play the game and create your OWN opinion on it:)

TOT is a good game. Just not a good Nancy Drew game. That's how I like to put it. I say this, because if it was an interactive puzzle book game, it's fantastic! If it's a Nancy Drew Adventure Series game, it stinks. There's not much of an adventure, and there's not any snooping or detective work other than in one small part. The characters were okay, but they were lacking. Along with the plot. A saboteur damaging things. There wasn't really any elaboration on it throughout the game. It never strengthened at all. The end wasn't my favorite either, and you found out the culprit way too soon in the game in my opinion.

Basically, I think the reason there have been so many negative reviews is because in this game you were undercover as an intern, and you remained an intern the whole time. You remained an intern who did intern work, and who did not, do any detective work.

TOT is an okay game for me. If you like solving 25 puzzles ( I think I counted something like that) and that being the basis of the game. then you'll really love this game. If you don't like your game to revolve around solving puzzles and more puzzles and doing tasks, and more tasks, I wouldn't recommend you buy/play it.

No hard feelings to those of you who enjoyed this game. I did find certain parts fun, but because of the puzzle overload I didn't appreicate this one as much as the others in the series.

I liked the game. I thought the puzzles were too easy, but my favorite part was eating candy... I actually liked driving and chasing twisters! I thought it need some help but this is actually my favorite Nancy Drew Game! 9.5/10

I think that a lot of people just didn't like this game because of the excessive amount of chores that overshadowed any chance of actual sleuthing.

Personally, I did enjoy the game despite the above mentioned. It wasn't particularly difficult. The puzzles weren't too bad, but did make up the majority of the game.

I suggest that you do play it, if not just to add to your collection, but so that you can see for yourself if you'll enjoy it.

It's a good game if your favorite part of the Nancy Drew series is solving a lot of fun little puzzles. If you like those, then you will really love this game.
It did seem really short though. Plotwise. Which, can be good or bad, depending on what you're into, again.
The main thing I did not like is there is one puzzle that you literally have to solve three or four times, over and over again. And, I didn't like it the first time. xP
But, I think that it was something to lengthen the game?

But, being the setting for the game takes place in my part of the world, I am probably really biased towards the game. It was one of those where I really thought the setting really matched the characters and the plot. Unlike some of the other games. So, that was nice. I thought.

I would recommend playing it overall. If nothing else, just to say that you played all of the games. Bragging rights, or experience, or what have you.

Hope that I helped. Even a little.

I was really disappointed with this game! If you're going to buy it, try Amazon - that way you're only spending like $1. I finished the entire game in three hours on senior level with no cheats and trust me, I'm usually not that good! The puzzles were just way too similar.
