Salt/Slugs Idea...perhaps farfetched

If you go to the blog and view the comments listed on the salt entry, you will see my thread, "Uses of Salt...Let's think" quoted. Also it says #47:5 which is reffering (I believe) to the 47th post. On that post there is a list with many different salt uses. The fifth one is killing slugs. Well, I couldn't thihnk of any slugs in the past games. Then I realized I may be looking at it wrong. Remember the slugs from TRN? The metal slugs? Maybe that has something to do with it...I don't know, just an idea. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, because it's not like you could really kill metal slugs. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

this is interesting! The first person to give us slugs was Tino. In Jake's car. There were slugs in Camlle's car, and other places as well. What about the story having something to do with Jake, Camille, Tino, or someone else from TRN?

We have had things show up in one way or another in following games. Maby not so much the characters but those slugs could show up again.
We possibly have droppings of Sonny again. Why not slugs?
And if it doesn't seem to gel with salt, well that doesn't suprise me. Who would have thought banned books would mean a loss of our books? So go figure. Maby slugs.......

If it has anything to do with slugs and salt from train, then maby it is Fatima with the saltwater taffee stick that could be used to open something.

And there was a slug close to Fatima.

Wow, thanks everyone. And now, a big round of applause for Fellerette92, who orginally mentioned that salt kills slugs. lol. Now, we just have to find the person. I honestly don't have any ideas...because it would have to go along with the clue...who didn't know a little salt would do the trick? Hmm, maybe someone who wanted to get rid of the slugs? lol I don't know. Maybe it is Fatima. I have my doubts though, since others have guessed Fatima in the past and HI hasn't said anything. But who knows? I'll let you guys know if I get any other ideas, in the meantime, keep sluething!

The person who didn't know that a little salt would do the trick is the cryptkeeper, because he hired a locksmith instead of being clever like Nancy and using saltwater taffy on a stick to get the missing key.

Is this a clue for the voice actor who does the voice?
For the character who now has another role in ICE?

Some reference to the briefly mentioned fact of Jake's journey through Canada?

This may be pretty far off... but here goes.

When Nancy went to Camille's crypt, the crypt keeper dropped the key.

You had to use the saltwater taffy to get it out of the drain.

I knew that he hadn't been mentioned, so it could be a possibility, no?

Edit: Hehe, Solver beat me to this idea. Clueless has a point though... I forgot about the slugs...

How killing slugs can relate:
Crypts are where dead people are kept, right? That could be the killing part, and for the slugs? What did you find on the rail to get to Camille's crypt? A slug!

Two slugs came from the crypt.

I have mushforbrains, because we don't know if slugs are only leading us to guess a character from TRN, or have an additional meaning such as killing slugs (but wouldn't the freezing cold winter temps do that?) and I know that someone else will figure out what HI really means with these clues.

Fatima is... a... Fatima. "Do I loooooook lahk a Buell?!?" he/she/it snarls at the bewildered Nancy.

In Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, were slugs one of the bugs you collect for Emily? They would eventually be killed and used for bait.

By the way, I think (could be wrong) Fatima is a girl. Men's voices are usually a little lower than that by the time they're the age to run a store.
