    I can't remember but didn't it have a beard?

I think so, but didn't Nancy say it was a costume?

After searching around, it sounds like it's a girl, but I'm still not sure.

      Don't think we'll ever know.

        Congrats, *Nancy Star*!

I think it might be Tino... he didn't know slugs could be used, so he gave them to Nancy to "wear around your neck or something."
He doesn't like to be tickled. His name's Gwin,

and I know he looks charming, but you know what they say about books and covers.

Thanks. I'm thinking it's Tino too. He didn't understand that slugs would help. IDK, that's the best I've (well, actually you came up with it lol) got.

I'm pretty sure that Fatima is a girl. The thing that she was searing was a costume, she said so herself. Her voice also sounded like a girl's, and Fatima is a girl's name. She also said "Do I look like a 'Buell' to you?" and Nancy replies "Sorry, the costume kind of threw me off". I believe that Fatima was trying to say that she was not a boy, despite her costume.

Fatima indicated, directly or indirectly, that she's wearing the Buell costume; the original Buell is long gone, so the costume is needed to perpetuate that old miner image. I am assuming Fatima is female, and her remark about the costume and Buell also refers to gender.

Congrats *Nancy_Star*. Nice sleuthing. I think the person is either Tino (cuz he had a slug) or Fatims (salt water taffy).

                    About Fatima ...

Does anyone remember who did her voice. Was Fatima's voice done by a girl or a guy, I think that would be the easiest way to figure it out.

I think it is Tino B.
Because *spoiler removed*, and Fatima still has the store to run. Fatima doesn't seem likely to end up in a Canadan ski lodge for a vacation ... I picture her at Disney Land with a Goofy hat on and a big sippy drink saddled down with gift bags and an "I went to Disney Land" t-shirt.

                      My thoughts exactly.
My guess is that the character is the cryptkeeper. He had a fanastic voice and it would be great to see a face put with that voice.

He could have switched jobs and now he's working at the lodge or as a wilderness ranger in the "dead" of winter.

Wait a second. Didn't the people on the blog say that Nancy Star was right when she was talking about "Killing the slugs"? If so, than maybe it isn't the crypt keeper--why would he want to get rid of the slugs?

My reasoning is that HI set up the salt clue to get us clued in to the word "slug". I don't think the 'killing' part is the part to focus on.
Once we know the word "slug", this leads us to the game TRN.
And the person who didn't know a little salt would solve the problem, I believe, is the cryptkeeper.

This is how I think HI's "train" of thought went for this clue.

Amy Broomhall was the voice actor for Fatima, she was also JJ Ling in DAN and the waitress in TRN. I thought that was interesting.
