I haven't played the first two Nancy Drew games yet, but for some Nancy Drew games I've played, after the Junior level I played the Senior level and I agree, it's not that much different.

I've never played a game with the Master Detective level, but that would be very fun and challenging A great choice for someone who had already played the game several times.

I think HeR took that away because there were no more puzzles to do that could be that hard. Plus they were like, the first games, and HeR wanted to do some editing.
