Petition to Keep, and Maybe Even Increase, the Scare Factor!

So, I was playing SAW and I realized that the most fun of the game, for me anyway, was the scare factor. I loved getting scared by that ghost! Even though at first it's pretty, well, scary, after a while you start to smile at the thought of that ghost popping out from behind a corner or something like that. Another example of what I'm going for is in MHM, how the floor creaks and groans as you walk, that kept the suspense/scare level high.

Anyway, my petition is to keep or possibly increase the scare factor in the ND games. Who's with me?

BTW I don't mean "horror" type scary, just "jumpy" scary. The kind of scary that keeps you on your toes.

i agree!!!! i just finished Shadow at the Water's Edge and L.O.V.E.D. .I.T.! i was freaked out and it was awesum! i have never screamed and covered my eyes before in a game! me A.N.D. my sister both did the same thing! sign me up!

I agree, but within reason. I don't think every game should be jam-packed with scares. There needs to be a balance between games, because I appreciate a game that isn't constantly mind-bogglingly scary (e.g. SHA).

Sign me up! Although I love variety, I think it would fun if the scary games got scarier. I LOVE the calm ones, too, but I think SAW set a new standard for HeR.

SAW was one of my favorite games, I admit, but after reading a lot of the reviews and playing it myself, it seems that a lot of people and I agree it just was a little too creepy. I actually had NIGHTMARES about this certain Nancy Drew game. The scare factor was too intense and I think should be lowered
