  • SAW Scare Quiz [Game Spoiler-Free]

Shadow at the Water's Edge promises to be one of our scariest cases yet. Are you ready to tackle all the spooky, unexplained, haunts? We've created a "Scare Quiz" to see just which kind of brave detective you tend to be. You might need a piece of paper to record your answers for the tally at the end. Good luck!

    Scare Quiz:
    1. So you’ve just snuck into a suspect’s office in the middle of the night when a figure sweeps across the window and you realize you’re on the 2nd floor of the building and there’s no balcony out there. In response you...
    a. Scream out loud, because that had to have been some sort of flying spectre.
    b. Get goosebumps and remain sufficiently creeped-out while snooping.
    c. Shrug it off, you can do amazing things with wires and lighting these days.

    2. While walking through the haunted fairgrounds, you notice that the fortune-telling machine is lit and cackling into the night. You approach the machine to see if it’s broken and notice that it isn’t even plugged in, time to…
    a. Run like you’ve never run before. Two states away should be far enough.
    b. Back away from the machine, but keep in mind that someone might be playing a trick.
    c. Laugh, cause that effect is sooo cheesy. I mean who hasn’t heard of batteries.

    3. Your latest case has you following footprints into the woods on a moonlit night. It’s quiet and still in the forest, that is until your just beyond the lights of the farmhouse. That’s when you hear the twig snap behind you…
    a. Leap at least ten feet in the air, grab for that tree branch, and hold on for dear life.
    b. Tense up, but turn around, prepared as best as you can given the circumstance.
    c. It’s a good thing you noticed that you picked up a tail, otherwise this might have been scary.

    4. Searching through a suspect’s apartment might not be completely legal, but it can prove invaluable. This time it’s paid off and you’ve found a crucial piece of evidence, just as the owner enters returns home… with an axe.
    a. Surely you’re dreaming, because only nightmares are this scary.
    b. You’d be crazy not to be scared. But you’re still able to keep your wits about you, you’ll need them.
    c. You’re crazy, and therefore not scared. Besides, they probably just got back from chopping wood… in the city…

    5. As you enter the forbidden dungeon, thinking about its ancient curse, the lights flicker and dim. Strange crying is heard all around you, and scratching against the wall. The darkness lasts only a moment, and as the crying fades with the light, you see a message newly torn into the wall, “You’re Next, Nancy.” A super sleuth might…
    a. start crying as well, thinking about how wonderfully safe their bed sounds about now.
    b. have her flesh crawl… but hey, a good detective has to be brave and carry on.
    c. remember that they used that same technique in their Junior class’ Haunted House last Halloween?

To add up your points use this key(highlight the spoiler text to read it):
    1 point for every A
    2 points for every B
    3 points for every C

    Scare Quiz Results:

    5 - 8 Points =
    Scared Sleuth -
Self-preservation is an important skill, particularly if you plan to question, shall we say, questionable, suspects or do some serious snooping for clues. And hey, it’s okay to be afraid of some things, like the dark, or spiders, or Aunt Julie’s casserole “surprise.” But you’ve got to have limits. Otherwise you’re going to need a brave pal to help you through some sticky situations if you plan to keep solving the spookier cases.

    9 - 11 Points =
    Normal Nancy
Okay, so some situations give you the creeps, but you’ll keep your cool. Super sleuths can get scared at times, but they always stay on their toes. It’s this kind of thinking that’ll help you see the truth behind theatrics and still keep you out of harm’s way. This of course doesn’t mean you’re going to go the Halloween Creature-thon down at the Cineplex or anything, but that last house on the block totally doesn’t faze you.

    12 - 15 Points =
    Daring Detective
To be a good sleuth you’ve got to be willing to take some risks and face some odd situations. And you’ve proven that you’ve got what it takes. However there’s a fine line between heroism and insanity, and you might be pushing the later. It’s good to be fearless in the face of danger, but you take it to a whole new level. You might want to develop a “healthy” sense of fear, or you might be disregarding some truly perilous circumstances as harmless. And a great sleuth always takes care in every situation.

We hope you enjoyed this quiz. Thanks for playing along.

                        I got all B's, so I'm a normal Nancy.
                        This was a cool quiz!

                        ~Kate
And there came a day, a day unlike any other.
When Earth's mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat.
To fight the foes no single super hero could withstand.
On that day The Avengers were born.

                          Scare Quiz:

                          Awesome poll!!! Thanks :)
